ineffect is a young Edinburgh-based theatre company formed in April 2009 by Steven McMahon and Paul Wright. The company has four main artistic principles. Firstly, it is a company which believes explicitly in the right to fail. We are not afraid to take risks and value potential as highly as experience. Secondly, we aim to produce a creative environment in which all parties can learn, develop and educate. Thirdly, ineffect aims to expose emerging talent and present the finest in contemporary international drama. Finally, ineffect aims to promote theatre as an increasingly accessible, entertaining and developing art.
